NEXUS 'OXFORD'

The Nexus 3.3 'Oxford' art event on Sunday 7th February had the participation of a group that responded to the invitation extended through the Oxford Riverside Gallery website and Facebook page during the previous week:

We started with a bigger painting, but lost several members of the collective due to poor internet connections.  For many in rural Nova Scotia the internet is slow and intermittent.  This is the reality for a lot of people around the world, and will have to be remembered when we go international.  However, we then tried again with a smaller painting and were successful.

It was a pleasure, once again, to make synchronous decisions using the UNU platform.  _

With each of these experiments we learn something new about the process, and refine the methods to enable the full power of the collective intelligence. Also, some of the participants have now had a few hours of experience, and are beginning to think less of the technology and focus more on the creative act.  As the process improves, we begin to see the emergence of a collective intelligence.
Over the coming months we will continue to meet with artists from Oxford and surrounding areas.  Hopefully, many of these will be previous participants.

This time lapse video starts after the drawing stage, when UNU is used to choose a colour palette; it then shows the painting and decision to stop.
